I took these black and white photos in bright sunlight around Severins Bridge and the old Vinegar Factory in Cologne.

It is ultimately some test shots with the Lumix S5, which I had converted to an infrared camera a short time later. When converting, the camera's internal IR blocking filter is removed and swoops, the camera also sees infrared light.

The filter was still installed here. And I think the images are really nice! Beautiful contrasts in hard afternoon sunlight, which come into their own in black and white. It looks almost like infrared.

The photos are from 2023. Today, as of 2025, the area around the vinegar factory has already changed in apperance due to construction measures. Apartments - what else - are being built.
