Pimentel is a small town on the Peruvian coast, right next to Chiclayo. Probably no one knows both places. I got through here in April 2016 when I traveled on my Amazon tour from Leticia in Colombia to Lima.

The area is located in the North of Peru and is desert-like. Everything is very dry and barren.

However, the beach is well suited for some beautiful photos. A lot happens there. Fishermen take their catch from the sea. The fish is laid out and put for sale. Children run around and play between the fishing boats. This all is a very grateful setting for street shooting.

The special thing about Pimentel are the canoes made of bound reeds, with which the fishermen go out to the sea.

For those who come there: There are many delicious fish restaurants along the beach. From Chiclayo you can quickly reach the coast by bus. There is even a large wooden pier.
