The impressive machine hall of Henrichshütte in Hattingen is reminiscent of the Hansa coking plant. Maybe it's even a little crazier to look at.
Here you will find similarly powerful structures, connecting rods, pistons and oversized flywheels, but even more handwheels, tubes, drains, inflows, chains and linkages.
In addition to the machine hall, Henrichshütte has an exciting outdoor area where locomotives and other industrial structures can be admired. The bunker-like depressions in the rear area of the terrain are fascinating to look at. Water collects below. The concrete is overgrown with moss and colored lichens.
I was on the premises for the first time with the Pentax K-3 III Monochrome. From this visit are the photos. The bunker structures are not shown here. I'll do that later.
